PokerStars, the leading online poker platform, has unveiled plans to launch inaugural Live Spin & Go Championship during the upcoming European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague festival. The championship is scheduled for December 14-15 and will see 81 players clash in three-handed competitions and do battle for a slice of the €100,000 prize pool. Although the Spin & Go championship field is invite-only, you can qualify for this ground-breaking event.
This event aims to bring the excitement of the popular Spin & Go format from the virtual tables to a live setting, offering players an innovative experience unlike any other in the world of poker.
Contestants will engage in a series of qualifying rounds, leading up to a grand finale. The format will allow for quick rounds, with each match expected to last around 10 to 15 minutes. This rapid pace is designed to keep players on their toes and spectators engaged. The championship will also include a mix of professional and amateur players, creating an inclusive atmosphere where everyone has a chance to shine.
Qualification scenario for the championship
The competition has 81 players, including 74 who qualified through PokerStars Spin & Go games and seven special guests. You can win one of 33 seats for PokerStars dotcom players, 24 for Southern Europe (France and Spain), and 17 for Italy by joining the Spin & Go leaderboards.
To try for a €2,735 package, just opt in through your Challenges Window and earn points by winning $5 or higher Spin & Go tournaments. There are three leaderboards running from October 7-20, October 21-November 3, and November 4-17. The top two players on each leaderboard will win the €2,735 package, which includes:
- €1,430 entry to the Spin & Go Championship
- A two-night hotel stay
- €500 for expenses
If you finish in the top 50 of any leaderboards, you’ll get a ticket for the Spin & Go Live Championship Freeroll, where you can win three more packages. The better your leaderboard position, the more chips you’ll have in the freeroll.
