Human expertise remains essential in the age of AI, IGaming Centre’s Lielbardis says

Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to revolutionise industries with its ability to analyse data and streamline processes. However, Martins Lielbardis, Founder and CEO of IGaming Centre, underscores the enduring necessity of human expertise in problem-solving in an interview with 4xw.shop.

“Humans should not be eliminated. The personal touch is important. AI can be used to determine what the problem is, but human resources are needed to solve problems,” Lielbardis emphasised. His perspective reflects a growing consensus that while AI offers unparalleled efficiency, it is human insight that brings solutions to life.

With over 12 years of experience in B2B and B2C sales and eight years specialising in the iGaming sector, Lielbardis stressed the importance of human connections in building sustainable businesses.

Educating for responsible AI use

As AI integrates further into professional and personal spheres, the Global AI Council advocates for widespread education on its responsible use. Karla Kangleon and Michael Nielsen of the Global AI Council earlier told 4xw.shop the importance of equipping people with the tools to leverage AI effectively. Since 2023, the council has hosted free masterclasses to educate participants on AI applications.

One challenge the Global AI Council faces is reaching underserved populations, particularly in regions with limited internet access. Nielsen said that the challenge for developing countries is that many people who need better education are from rural areas without internet access. He then stressed the importance of infrastructure improvements to support online education initiatives.

Ethics and AI in the gaming sector

Meanwhile, AI’s transformative role in gaming was explored by Gege Gatt, CEO of Ebo.ai, on the SiGMA podcast. Gatt stressed the importance of ethical AI, particularly in customer service and responsible gaming. Gatt acknowledged the risks of AI bias, calling for diverse datasets and human oversight to ensure fairness. Looking ahead, Gatt predicts that AI capabilities will evolve rapidly by 2024, reshaping economies and industries.

Preparing for the future of work

As AI transforms the job market, the focus will shift from traditional education to critical thinking and adaptability. Gatt explained that employability in the next 20 years is going to be less about what you learned at school and more about your ability to ask questions and retrain yourself constantly. He urged educational systems to prioritise creativity and community-driven approaches, ensuring that society adapts to the rapid changes AI brings.

In an era dominated by AI, leaders like Lielbardis and organisations like the Global AI Council stress a shared message: technology should enhance human potential, not replace it.
