The SiGMA Group is excited to announce that it will hold its upcoming SiGMA Europe event at the Mediterranean Maritime Hub (MMH) in Marsa, Malta, this November.
While SiGMA’s annual Malta Week event has traditionally been held at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali, increased demand from delegates and exhibitors has compelled the company to seek a larger, more dynamic space.
In the words of Group Founder Eman Pulis, “We’ve been working on this plan for the past five years and today, thanks to a robust road infrastructure and a refurbished venue, can finally announce that we’re moving SiGMA Europe from MFCC in Ta’ Qali to the Marsa Mediterranean Maritime Hub. The venue is two to three times larger – but given the long waiting list the floor plan is practically sold out already.
“We’re redesigning your entire experience, from the minute you land in Malta until the very last moment. I look forward to welcoming you with open arms to this iGaming festival.“
The MMH in Marsa – an operational industrial maritime yard which sits at the heart of one of Malta’s oldest industries, offers a raw, industrial, and unconventional space unlike anything ever used before.
A first-of-its-kind location for SiGMA, the company seeks to lead the way when it comes to adapting non-traditional locations – reimagining them through fresh eyes and breathing fresh life into traditional industries.
Exhibitors will benefit from an incredible , as future sectors of entrepreneurship and commerce, including cutting edge emerging tech, come together against an unconventional backdrop of heavy industry.
Speaking on behalf of the MMH, Executive Chairperson Angelique Abela said that, “MMH’s 20,000 sqm covered industrial sheds and waterside facilities within the Mediterranean Maritime Hub shall surely provide an innovative and unique setup for a record-breaking and successful 2023 SiGMA event.”
Sitting on the edge of the Grand Harbour, the venue will be accessible by an exclusive ferry service which docks at the venue, providing a direct link to Malta’s ancient and fortified capital city – Valletta.
A 100 metres of berthing spots has also been secured so that tier one gaming brands can have c-level meetings in a more private setting.
Networking events will also be held here, moving away from the St Julian’s area. A UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Valletta’s impressive Baroque architecture and pretty cobbled streets are rich with historical treasure – the perfect place to host the elegant networking dinners and drinks that take place during the week-long event. The prestigious awards ceremony, as well as Closing Night party will both take place at the beautiful Malta Convention Centre (MCC) in Valletta.
The city is only five minutes drive away from the expo in Marsa and it is recommended that delegates book their stay in the vicinity. To this end, SiGMA has secured great deals with all the best hotels in Valletta.
The SiGMA Group has grown beyond recognition over the last decade, shifting its focus from a single local event to international events across 4 continents, and branching into affiliation through the launch of its B2C media SiGMA Play in 2020. It welcomed 25,000 delegates to its 2022 Malta Week event – an expo and conference boosted by the Group’s gaming, emerging tech, and marketing affiliation brands.
SiGMA Europe will take place from the 13 to 17th of November. For more information on how you can take part in the event and for sponsorship and exhibiting opportunities reach out to Emily.
